For sponsors
One day event related to information technology in general and information security in particular. The conference will bring together both tudents interested in the topic and professionals that have worked with the security. The day will be virtually divided into two parts: talks and resentations, and competitions.
Competitions are intended to be both on-site and off-site. On-site competitions will include finding as many possible security problems in the test network as possible. Last year visitors were given open wireless network as an entry point to the test network, where they had to report all the problems and misconfigurations that could potentially lead to its compromise. As an example of the off-site competition, visitors will be given some time before the start of the conference (approx. 2 weeks) a packet capture dump and some brief explanation of what has happened and what kind of traffic is in the dump, and they would have to reconstruct all the actions that were taken in that capture. Another possible competition will be to read the encrypted text or reverse engineer a binary in order to find the secret.
Depending on the interest from the companies, there could also be workshops/competitions, where visitors will be given a task from the company to solve during the day either individually or in groups.
Given the last year experience, this year’s event should bring together 30-70 people in total, both physically and via the Internet.
The date of the conference is 19th of February, 2010.
